MISCELLANEOUS CONSULAR SERVICES

All Miscellaneous Consular Services must be applied online through the SEWA Portal:
https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/
Applicants are requested to carefully follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Registration / Login

Visit the SEWA portal:
https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/

New users must register on the portal by creating a User ID and password using their email address.

After successful registration, login to the portal using the registered credentials.
Step 2: Apply for the Required Service
- After logging in, choose the required service from the list of services.
- Fill in the online application form with the correct personal details.
- Upload the required supporting documents as specified for the selected service.
- Review the details carefully and submit the application online.
Step 3: Verification of Application
- The Consulate will verify the application and documents submitted online.
- Applicants will receive a notification on the portal regarding the status of the application.
- If any discrepancy or additional document is required, the same will be communicated through the portal.
- Applicants must upload the correct documents and re-submit the application online.
Step 4: Submission of Documents at the Consulate

Once the application is approved/verified online, the applicant must print the completed application form from the portal.
- Visit the Consulate with:
- Printed and signed application form
- One set of photocopies of all uploaded documents
- Original documents for verification
Applications can be submitted in person at:

Submission Timing:
Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)
09:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Where applicable, applications may also be sent by post (SEDEX) along with the required documents.
Step 5: Collection of Processed Documents
After processing, the ready document can be collected from the Consulate on any working day between
03:00 PM – 04:00 PM.
If the applicant has provided a return SEDEX envelope and submitted the SEDEX fee of R$ 70, the processed document may also be sent by post.

- Birth Certificate – Self
- NRI Certificate – Educational Purpose
- Registration of Child Birth
- Registration of Marriage, etc.
Important Notes:

Applicants are advised to visit/send documents to the Consulate only after receiving confirmation of verification/approval on the SEWA portal.
- No prior appointment is required for submission or collection of documents.

Applicants should ensure that all documents uploaded online are clear and legible to avoid delays in processing.
